How To Cultivate Chili In Pot or Polibag
How to cultivate chili with polybag or pot is very easy, almost the same as how to plant chilli in general. because these chili plants can live anywhere, be it lowland mapun plateau with an optimum temperature of 24-27 ° C. However, chili can still grow with temperatures above 27 ° C. 1. Hatchery
• Selection of seeds
To produce a quality chili is certainly needed a good seed. There are many types of seeds from local seeds to imported seeds that you can use, but for those of you who want easier treatment with satisfactory results, the type of local chilli you can choose. The seeding step you should do is as follows:
 Prepare the tray or make a plot of land to taste,
 Combine the compost and soil with a ratio of 1: 1, mix well.
 Puree the ground soil until it is loose to make the burning process easier to penetrate the field.
 Place the soil media on the tray or plot you have prepared. Then make a map with a width of 5-10 cm, and make a run on it with a distance of 10 cm.
 After the seeding is ready, insert the chili seeds with 7.5 cm spacing.
 Flush the seeds and cover with the soil mixture and compost you have prepared beforehand.
 Then cover the seeding area with wet sack, and leave it for 3 days. During the seeding process make sure the burlap sack remains in wet condition to keep the seed moist.
 Once the seedling begins to grow, open the burlap sack and replace it with a plastic cover to protect the seeds of the plant, in addition to keeping the chilli seeds not exposed to direct sunlight.
 Wait up to 1 month or after seed has 3-4 leaves.
2. Preparation of planting media
For planting media you can use pots, polybags, or unused containers with a minimum size of 30 cm. Then hole the bottom of the pot so the water can flow. Next mix the soil, manure, compost, rice husk and charcoal with the composition 1: 1: 1. Wash off all ingredients to get a smooth growing medium, stirring until all the ingredients are well blended, and make sure that the ingredients you use have good quality. In addition to the mixture, you can also add NPK fertilizer about 3 spoons for each pot. Once all is ready, place the pot or polybag in place that is not stagnant water.
